Accountancy – There are many study abroad options available to accountancy majors and minors. Our featured semester program is in Indonesia at BINUS University through ISEP. African American Studies – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major or minor in African American Studies. There is a group program titled History and Culture of South Africa which will carry AAS credit going in May of 2015 to South Africa. Our featured semester program is in Ghana and is called Social Transformation and Cultural Expression where you can spend a semester studying and completing research and receive credit towards your degree through SIT Study Abroad. Agriculture – There are many study abroad options available to agriculture majors and minors. There is a group program called Ag Down Under that will go to Australia during spring break of 2015 and carry agriculture credit. Our featured semester program for agriculture is in Australia at Charles Sturt University where students have the opportunity to take many courses within agriculture, animal science, and horticulture. Anthropology – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major or minor in anthropology. There is a group program titled Wepa Puerto Rico! which will carry anthropology credit going in May of 2015 to Puerto Rico. Our featured semester program is Semester at Sea where students spend a semester on a ship visiting to up to 15 different countries. Students participating in this program can choose from a variety of anthropology courses as well as general education courses. Due to the nature of the program, the courses offered change every semester. Some previously offered courses include ANTH 110, 111, 201, and 379. Art – There are many study abroad options available to art majors and minors. There is a group program called Art in New York City that travels in May of 2015 and offers art credit. Our featured semester program for art is at Florence University of the Arts in Italy through ISA. Students participating in this program have the opportunity to take courses in art as well as general education courses. Some examples of the courses available include ARTS 140, 240, 330, 331, 340, 350, and 451. Bilingual/Bicultural Education – There are many study abroad options available to bilingual/bicultural education majors. A semester-long group program called WISE Spain will be going to Spain for the 2015 spring semester and students can take Spanish language coursework. A short-term group program titled Wepa Puerto Rico! will be going to Puerto Rico during May of 2015 and students can receive EIS credit. Our featured semester program is in Seville, Spain through CIEE. In this program students will take a combination of Spanish and education courses as well as a teaching practicum in an elementary school. Biology – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of different countries and regions that offer credit towards your major or minor in biology. Our featured semester program is at UPSI in Malaysia through ISEP. Students participating in this program can take coursework in biology as well as general education courses. Broadcasting – There are many study abroad options available to broadcasting majors and minors. Our featured semester program is an exchange through Yasar University in Izmir, Turkey. Students participating in this program can take broadcasting coursework as well as general education courses. Chemistry – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major or minor in Chemistry. Our featured semester program is at Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Students participating in this program can take coursework in chemistry towards their degree as well as general education coursework. Communication – There are many study abroad options available to communication majors. A group program called WIU in Barcelona will be going to Barcelona, Spain in May of 2015 where students will take Intercultural Communication. Our featured semester program is at Bond University in Australia through GlobaLinks and ISA. Students participating in this program will have the opportunity to take a variety of communication courses as well as general education courses. Some examples of courses available are COMM 315, 344, and 356. Communication Sciences and Disorders – Students with a major in communication sciences and disorders may want to consider focusing on their general education requirements or an internship for a study abroad program. There are several different types of semester and short-term programs that offer a range of general education courses. One example is at Mahidol University in Thailand. Students participating in this program can take a variety of general education courses in English. Some examples of courses available include PSY 100, PSY 221, POLS 101, POLS 228, GEOL 115, GEOG 100, HIST 144, ANTH 110 and many more. Computer Science – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major or minor in computer science. Our featured summer program is at our exchange program EFREI in France. During this month-long program, students will take a computer science course, a management course, and a French language course as well as participate in cultural activities and excursions. Construction Management – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer coursework related to your major in construction management. Our featured semester program is at the University of Plymouth in England through ISEP. Students participating in this program can take coursework in construction management as well as general education courses. Dietetics –  We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major in Dietetics. There is a group program titled Experience the Mediterranean Way which will carry FCS credit going in May of 2015 to Italy, Greece, and Turkey. Our featured semester program is at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland through IFSA-Butler. Students participating in this program can take Dietetics coursework as well as general education courses. Economics – There are many study abroad options available to economics majors and minors. A group program called WIU in Belfast will be going to Belfast, Northern Ireland in July of 2015 where students will take ECON 351. Our featured semester program is at Yasar University in Turkey. Students participating in this program can take a wide range of economics courses as well as general education courses. Education – There are several different types of study and teach abroad opportunities available to Education majors. During May of 2015 there will be four different group programs offered for education majors. Literacy Pedagogy in New Zealand, Social and Educational Issues in Morocco, Wepa Puerto Rico!, and The Great Beauty of Rome and Beyond: Exploring Contemporary Italy Through Films and Cultural Studies.  Each of these programs will offer credit in education coursework. Education majors can also consider studying abroad during a summer term or semester or even teaching abroad. Our featured summer program is in South Africa through SIT Study Abroad. In this program you will take coursework on education and social change as well as participate in practicum experiences in rural and urban schools. Emergency Management – There are many study abroad options available to emergency management majors. Our featured semester program is at the University of Western Sydney through ISEP. Students participating in this program can take courses in emergency management as well as general education courses. Engineering – There are several different types of study abroad programs available to engineering majors. Our featured semester program is at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates through ISEP. Fashion Merchandising – There are several different types of study abroad options available to fashion merchandising majors. Our featured semester program is at RMIT University in Australia through ISEP. Students participating in this program have an opportunity to take fashion merchandising courses towards their degree as well as general education courses. Finance – There are several different types of study abroad options available to Finance majors and minors. Our featured program is at Yasar University in Izmir, Turkey where students can spend a semester taking coursework in English related to finance, business, and general education requirements. Some of the courses available include FIN 351, FIN 371, and FIN 497. French – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major or minor in French. Our featured summer program is at Université Laval in Quebec, Canada. This is a five-week intensive French language program that offers 6 hours of credit at any level. General Studies – Students completing a BGS degree have many different opportunities to study abroad for both short-term and semester-long programs. Internship abroad programs may be of particular interest to BGS majors as they offer practical work experience and the opportunity to build your global network. Our featured program is through ISA and GlobaLinks Learning Abroad. They offer internships in Australia, New Zealand, England, Spain, China, Hong Kong, Chile, and Singapore. Geography – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major or minor in geography. Our featured semester program is at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji through ISEP. Students participating in this program can take courses towards their degree in geography as well as general education courses. Graphic Communication – We have short-term and semester-long programs in a variety of countries and regions that offer coursework related to your major in graphic communication. Our featured semester program is at the University of Central Lancashire in England through ISEP. Students participating in this program can take coursework in graphic communication as well as general education courses. Graphic Design – Students completing a degree in graphic design have many different opportunities to study abroad in both short-term and semester-long programs. Our featured semester program is at the University of Central Lancashire in England through ISEP. Health Services Management – We have short-term and semester-long programs in a variety of countries and regions that offer coursework related to your major in health services management. Our featured semester program is Health and Community: Globalization, Culture, and Care through SIT. This is a multi-country comparative program where students will have the opportunity to compare healthcare practices in four different countries. History – There are several different types of study abroad programs available to history majors and minors. During May of 2015 there will be two different group programs offered with history course credit. WIU in Shanghai  and History and Culture of South Africa will each offer upper-division history credit. Our featured semester program is an exchange through Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea. Students participating in this program can take history coursework along with general education courses. Hotel and Restaurant Management – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major in hotel and restaurant management. Our featured program is at Apicius International School of Hospitality in Florence, Italy which offers both semester and summer options through the study abroad provider ISA.  Students can choose from courses like FCS 354, 356, 452, and 454 as well as many other courses. Information Systems – There are many different types of study abroad programs available for information systems majors and minors. Our featured semester program is at Ming Chuan University in Taiwan where students can take coursework in English towards their degree. Some examples of courses previously approved are IS 462 and CS 250. Instructional Design and Technology – Students majoring in IDT may consider focusing on their general education courses for a semester or summer program abroad. Programs that offer the specific courses required in this degree may be difficult to find depending on the location you choose. Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand is just one example of a semester-long program where students can take a variety of general education courses in English. Some examples of courses available include PSY 100, PSY 221, POLS 101, POLS 228, GEOL 115, GEOG 100, HIST 144, ANTH 110 and many more. Interdisciplinary Studies – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of different countries and locations for disciplinary studies majors. Our featured program is Semester at Sea where students spend a semester on a ship visiting to up to 15 different countries. Journalism – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major or minor in journalism. Our featured semester program is at Anglo American University in Prague, Czech Republic through CEA. Students participating in this program can take journalism courses towards their degree as well as general education courses. Some examples of courses available are JOUR 231, 379, 400 and 410. Kinesiology – There are many different types of study abroad programs available for kinesiology majors and minors. Our featured summer program is called The Australian Sporting Industry and is administered through GlobaLinks and ISA. During this program students have the opportunity to gain KIN 379 credit while learning about many different aspects of the sporting industry and participating recreational sporting activities. Law Enforcement and Justice Administration – There are many different types of study abroad programs available for LEJA majors and minors. Our featured semester program is an exchange program at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada through ISEP. Students participating in this program can take LEJA coursework towards their degree as well as general education courses. Some examples of coursework available are LEJA 201, 300, 306, 345 and 357. Liberal Arts and Sciences – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of different countries and locations for liberal arts and sciences majors. Our featured program is Semester at Sea where students spend a semester on a ship visiting to up to 15 different countries. Students participating in this program can choose from a variety of courses in varying disciplines. Due to the nature of the program, the courses offered change every semester. Some previously offered courses include ANTH 110, PSY 251, REL 101, GEOG 110, and GEOL 115. Management – There are many different types of study abroad programs available for management majors and minors. During May of 2015 there will be two different group programs offered with BAT 300/600 credit titled Business Practices and Culture of Ireland and European Business Study. Our featured semester program for management is at Mannheim University in Germany. This program offers a variety of business and management courses that change every semester. Some courses that students have taken in the past are OM 352, MGT 379, and FIN 331. Marketing – There are many different types of study abroad programs available for marketing majors and minors. During May of 2015 there will be two different group programs offered with BAT 300/600 credit titled Business Practices and Culture of Ireland and European Business Study. Our featured semester program for marketing is at Birmingham City University in the United Kingdom. Students can choose from marketing courses like MKTG 333 and 379 as well as many other business courses. Mathematics – Major s or minors in mathematics have a variety of options available to them regarding study abroad programs. Our featured mathematics semester program is at Al Akhawayn University in Morocco through ISEP. Students participating in this program have access to a number of different mathematics courses. Depending on the type of program you are completing at WIU, you may prefer to focus on general education courses for your study abroad program over a summer term. Meteorology – There are several different types of programs available to meteorology majors or minors. Our featured semester program is at the University of Botswana through ISEP. Students participating in this program can take coursework in meteorology as well as general education courses. Music – There are several different types of study abroad programs available to music majors to complete coursework towards their major or general education courses. Our featured semester program for music majors is at Ewha Womans University in South Korea. Ewha offers a variety of coursework in music related to voice and instruments. Nursing – As a nursing major, short-term and summer study abroad options may be the easiest to fit in with your academic plan. There is a group program titled International Health Care Systems: Ireland that will offer nursing credit during spring break of 2015. Nursing majors can also focus on general education courses during a summer program. Our featured program for general education courses is John Cabot University in Rome, Italy. Students can choose from courses like ARTH 282, ENG 180, 205, 280, COMM 241 and many more. There are summer programs related to health care that would be beneficial for nursing majors but may not satisfy specific requirements in the nursing degree. Philosophy – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards a major or minor in philosophy. Our featured semester program is at the University of Tartu in Estonia through ISEP. Students participating in this program can take philosophy courses as well as general education courses. Physics – There are several different types of study abroad programs available to physics majors and minors. Our featured semester program is at Laurentian University in Canada through ISEP. Students participating in this program can complete physics courses as well as general education courses. Political Science – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major or minor in political science. Our featured semester program for political science is located in Izmir, Turkey at Yasar University. Students participating in this program can take courses towards their degree in political science as well as general education coursework. Some examples of the courses available include POLS 228, 267, 338 and 446. Psychology – There are many options available to psychology majors for semester and summer abroad programs. Our featured psychology program is at Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand. Students can spend a semester taking psychology classes in English as well as coursework that satisfies general education requirements. PSY 100, 221, 251, 353, 423, 424, and 457 are just some of the psychology courses available. Public Administration/Public Policy – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that are related to your major or minor in public administration. Our featured semester program is called Development and Social Change and is located in Nepal and administered by SIT. Public Health – There are many different options available to public health majors for semester and summer abroad programs. Our featured public health program is at Manipal University in India through the Alliance for Global Education. Students participating in this program will take coursework towards their degree in public health as well as participate in field visits to local clinics. Recreation, Park, and Tourism Administration – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major or minor in RPTA. There is a group program titled Ecotourism and Natural Resource Management in New Zealand which will carry RPTA credit going in May of 2015 to New Zealand. Our featured semester program is in Thailand where you can spend a semester taking RPTA and general education coursework in English at Mahidol University in Bangkok. RPTA 462 and RPTA 467 are offered along with a number of other upper-division courses. Religious Studies – There are many options available to religious studies majors for semester and summer abroad programs. Our featured religious studies program is at Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea. Students can spend a semester taking religious studies courses as well as coursework that satisfies general education requirements. REL 379, 405, and 458 are just some of the religious studies courses available. Renewable Energy – Students completing a degree in renewable energy have a variety of study abroad options available for summer and semester study. Our featured program for renewable energy is located in Iceland and is administered by SIT. This is a seven week summer program where students will learn about renewable energy and technology. Social Work – There are many different types of opportunities available for social work majors. Due to the specific requirements of the degree, social work majors may not find an appropriate program with social work courses. However, there are a number of summer and semester programs available where students can complete general education courses or coursework related to their overall career goals. Our featured program is an ELAP program in the Dominican Republic with ISA. Students participating in this program can choose to take academic coursework alongside a volunteer placement or simply participate in the volunteer placement. Sociology – There are many different types of opportunities available for sociology majors and minors. Our featured semester program is at Masaryk University in the Czech Republic through ISEP. Students participating in this program can take sociology courses as well as general education courses. Spanish – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major or minor in Spanish. There is a semester-long group program called WISE Spain will be going to Spain for the 2015 spring semester and students can take intensive Spanish language coursework. There is also a group program titled WISE Costa Rica that will go to Costa Rica for the month of June 2015 and students can receive 6 hours of Spanish credit. Supply Chain Management – There are many different types of study abroad opportunities available for Supply Chain Management majors. Our featured program is at Griffith University in Australia through GlobaLinks and ISA. Students participating in this program will have the opportunity to take supply chain courses as well as general education courses. Theatre – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major or minor in theatre. Our featured program for theatre is at Edge Hill University in England. Students can spend a semester taking theatre courses as well as coursework that satisfies general education requirements. Examples of courses that have been approved in the past are THEA 379, 400, and 496. Undecided – You can study abroad if you have not yet declared a major. Students can take general education courses during their time abroad and may even identify a major while abroad. Women’s Studies – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards your major or minor in women’s studies. Our featured semester program is at Kansai Gaidai University in Japan. Students can participate in this exchange program and take coursework that will satisfy women’s studies electives requirements. Youth Development – There are many different types of study abroad opportunities available to youth development majors. Our featured program for youth development is a semester program in South Africa titled Learning for Sustainable Community Engagement through AIFS. Students participating in this program have the opportunity to engage with youth in the community through service learning projects as well as take courses towards their degree. Zoology – We have short-term and semester-long programs available in a variety of countries and regions that offer credit towards a major or minor in zoology. Our featured semester program is at James Cook University in Australia. Students who participate in this program can take coursework in zoology as well as general education courses. Many of the courses in zoology involve extensive field work or field trips and hands-on experiences. Some examples of the coursework available are ZOOL 415, ZOOL 379, and BIOL 340.
