Eligibility: You must be a sophomore or higher upon arrival in Spain and meet all WIU study abroad eligibility criteria. Open to all majors. Students interested in taking courses in Spanish must have completed at least one year of Spanish at the university level.
Location: Castellón is the capital city of the Castellón province located 40 miles north of València and 180 miles south of Barcelona. It has a population of over 175,000. The town has 125 kilometers of Mediterranean coastline and a large number of clean and beautiful beaches.
Academics: All students are required to study the Spanish language (prerequisite at least one year of Spanish in University). A limited number of courses are available in English.
Housing: A variety of housing options are available to students, including residence halls, apartments and family housing. The Campus Residence University offers 250 individual rooms each equipped with a complete bathroom and kitchen. The Domus María Residence, located in the center of town, offers single and double bedrooms which include a sink, dining room, laundry and shared bathroom.

Due to overlapping semester dates, students are encouraged to study either the entire academic year or the spring semester.
